JBJS Journal Club continues to meet monthly under the
guidance of JBJS Editor-in-Chief Dr. James Heckman.
This past
year, the Journal Club has transitioned to Wednesday evenings
to allow more participation by the attendings. With the time
change, participation by attendings and residents has been
excellent allowing well-rounded and insightful discussions of
the articles. Residents volunteer or are assigned to articles as a
summarizer or a reviewer to stimulate discussion.
The Journal
Club continues to benefit from Dr. Heckman’s dedication and
guidance to a high quality and critical analysis of the literature
to allow practicing orthopaedic surgeons to make informed decisions
in the practices.
