The Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School has continued its success as a valuable and important resource for the orthopaedic community. Now in its sixth year of publication, The Orthopaedic Journal provides a review and update of activities throughout the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. Last year, over 4000 copies were distributed throughout the local, national, and international orthopaedic community. The response from our readers has been overwhelmingly positive, and they eagerly await the next issue.
As the Chiefs of their respective hospitals and well-respected thought leaders in the orthopaedic community, our Advisors Drs. James Herndon, Harry Rubash, Thomas Thornhill, and James Kasser have made the Journal a continuing academic priority. Our success has been due in no small part to the generous support of our industry friends in the orthopaedic community, and we are very thankful for this partnernship.
The Orthopaedic Journal is an academic journal, produced and edited by volunteer staff and residents. As such, we depend on financial grants from industry supporters to continue publication. In order to continue the success of The Orthopaedic Journal, we have traditionally dependent on support in the form of paid advertisements. The Orthopaedic Journal will continue its tradition of quality with a professionally printed and bound final product between 100 and 150 pages in length (including advertisements). We anticipate a broad readership, including all alumni of the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program, current staff and resident surgeons, current and former laboratory personnel, national and international visiting fellows and professors, medical students and orthopaedic residents throughout the United States, as well as all registered fellows of the AAOS in New England and New York. As demonstrated by our previous issues, The Orthopaedic Journal is an excellent way to promote your business to a large but focused readership through a reputable publication, particularly as our readership is concentrated primarily in New England.
In addition, we will continue to update our state-of-the-art Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School website. A full online version of last year’s edition is available at www.orthojournalhms.org and includes advertiser logos and links to advertiser websites. Purchasing advertising space in The Orthopaedic Journal secures a logo on our web site and advertising links to your company’s home page. Our website continues to receive hundreds of hits per week and represents a great opportunity to reach a focused audience.
