Our annual Ski day sponsored by Drs. Brick, Ready and Vrahas took place on March 6, 2010 at Waterville Valley Ski Resort. We had a strong showing of residents this year with over 23 residents/fellows plus their families. It was a beautiful sunny weekend with slick snow conditions. Ski and snowboarders of all experiences came out for this exciting weekend.

Tension was high as the residents and the staff/family team competed in the ski race. With the Winter Olympics fresh on our minds, the competitors fearlessly flew out of the gates. Some of the times recorded were mind-blowing, but once again the staff/family team won by a landslide by taking the top six finishes and seven out the top ten finishes. Fortunately, no one was hurt this day except for some bumps, bruises and abrasions. We even had Dr. Mansfield covering the triage clinic. At the end of the day, the staff/family had the opportunity celebrate their victory at The Bucket where beers were consumed by the six-packs.

At the end of the night, Dr. Brick graciously hosted us at his condo. We toasted the days events while roasting the juniors with orthopaedic cases from this past ski season. We witnessed and clapped for the Ready Lauge-Hansen "SADSER- PAB-PER" dance. We feasted on tuna steaks, shrimp cocktails and consumed laughter throughout the night.
